The Zeppelin-Museum
at Zeppelinheim

  .

The Zeppelin-Museum at Zeppelinheim (near the Rhein-Main Airport Frankfurt / Main), is surely one of the most beautiful airship-museums here in Germany. It was built and opened in 1988 as an own extension to the Town Hall Zeppelinheim.

Between some really interesting artifacts about the history of the Zeppelin-Airships you can see some amazing models of the most interesting Zeppelins in scale 1/100. Because of the really nice museums-atmosphere the fascination of airships touches
immediately every visitor. The roof of the museum for example is build as a reconstruction of a hull of an airship.

One more attraction is the reconstruction of a small section of the promenade deck of the passenger airship LZ 129 "Hindenburg" with a view of Rio de Janeiro through the windows. The excelent arrangement of the museum gives the visitors a very detailed view into "the Great Time of the Giants of the Sky".

For the people who have some more time to spend there is the chance to watch some interesting films about "Zeppelins". Not only information about the history also about the new airship projects are made available. For at home there are some books and merchandise available.
